I woke up on my way. Here, word-gazing. Some words reach out like feet upon the sea, the sand:
I do not drown, I reach. The completeness of sun sky salt sea and grains of sand. The graceful
errant feet: now swim, now world. Silence beneath the waves. The body almost naked, shivering.
So much verse dripping on my floor, seeping through the steps inside the house, soaking the
tiles: I came from this sea.
